Produced in Bangladesh
Our producer Stanley/Stella is proud to have contributed to the improvement of economic conditions in the country and the social advancement of the workforce. From the beginning, you have worked with partner factories to improve working conditions for the people who make our textiles. But we also know that there is still much to do.
We stand to Bangladesh
Our production remains in Bangladesh, although low wages in countries like Ethiopia and Myanmar are luring many brands away. This development has devastating consequences for the textile industry in Bangladesh. We know that we will have a lasting and positive impact on working conditions in the textile industry in Bangladesh if relationships with partners in Dhaka are maintained and expanded.
Member of the Fair Wear Foundation
As we move into the future, we as well as our producer always think about the livelihood of our employees.
The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an independent organization that works with apparel brands, garment workers and industry leaders to improve working conditions in textile factories. FWF operates in Bangladesh, where it audits factories and helps unions pressure European governments and other organizations to raise wages and improve working conditions. FWF representatives conduct audits at our partner factories every three years and order corrective action plans as needed. In cooperation with companies like Stanley/Stella, FWF also hosts regular educational programs to help factories combat workplace violence and harassment. FWF also operates an independent grievance hotline to ensure that complaints are heard and problems are resolved when internal factory grievance systems fail. Our producer Stanley/Stella has been an FWF member since 2012 and publishes an annual report detailing work on social and environmental issues, as well as the results of monitoring and corrective actions at each of our partner factories.
